25 years of tissue donation in Germany –
15 years of DGFG
2-3 June 2022 in Hannover

This year, the DGFG celebrates its 15th anniversary. We are also celebrating 25 years of tissue donation in Germany. From 1997 to 2007, the DGFG organised tissue donation in Germany as the non-profit Society for Tissue Transplantation (DSO-G), a subsidiary of the German Foundation for Organ Transplantation (DSO).

On the occasion of both anniversaries, the DGFG would like to look back on a successful development in tissue donation, processing and procurement of tissue transplants on 2 and 3 June 2022 in Hanover. In addition to intensive training (hybrid, online participation possible) on donation coordination and the recovery of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal tissues, partners from the network will also provide insights into their projects and work. Together with the guests, the DGFG will also look to the future and further developments in the field of tissue medicine.

The highlight will be the evening event on 2 June 2022: a public event at which we will also allow patients, doctors and other protagonists to have their say in the context of an open-air exhibition of »Experience tissue donation« (»Gewebespende erleben«) on Hannah-Arendt-Platz.
