The DGFG is the nationwide partner for more than 100 donor hospitals and almost 200 transplanting institutions from all over Germany. We support clinics in establishing tissue donations, we help doctors to provide their patients with transplants and we ensure the management of tissue banks.\r\n<blockquote><strong>Therefore, we are the largest tissue network in Germany.<\/strong><\/blockquote>\r\nBehind us stand four university hospitals and a Diakonie hospital. We operate on a non-profit basis. Tissue donation is a voluntary choice. It is a gift to life \u2013 a selfless donation.\r\nTherefore it has to belong to a non-profit organization \u2013 without private interests.<\/blockquote>\r\nWe rely on voluntary and transparent cooperation with our partners in the healthcare sector. Germany could cover the demand for tissue transplants completely from national donation programmes. This goal is the motivation behind our work.
